Assembly:
1. bring the two ends together, insert the two ends of the connecting link into the ends of the chain;
2. press the two halves together;
3. lock the connecting link by pulling the chain outward

Disassembly:
1. squeeze the plates of the connecting link together while pushing them inward;
2. remove the connecting halves from the chain ends
